Mr Z   Ever wondered what it would be like to drive from old London town to Cameroon in a Ford Fiesta Popular Plus 997cc with no air conditioning? Well that's exactly what we are doing!

We left on the 18th of July, take a look below to follow our progress. If you are feeling generous then donations still welcome.

Where are we now?

After a quick search we have found our new oil pressure sensor at a Ford garage just outside Valencia. The girl at the counter was so helpful, she translatted for the guys in the parts department. They popped out for a look at the car and allthough we had no idea what they were saying, we´re pretty sure they liked it.

Well after many many miles we have finally had to get the tools out. We have put up with squeeks, rattles, the ipod constantly falling off, but this needed imediate attention. We wont say yet exactly what millage we achived before the breakdown, but we can tell what happened.

The oil pressure sensor failed and oil stared to poor from the centre. Luckly we spotted it in time and had a quick bodge at the services. Time to find a new part.
